After seven of the fourteen scheduled events of the 2009-10 Western Carolina Hunter Pace & Trail Ride Series, the standings are as follows:

Total # Riders: 506

Field Hunters: 202

• Liz Crawley has inched back into the top spot with 26 Series points at this writing.

• Gail Patton & Debbie Thrasher are right behind and in Second Place with 25 Series points.

• Judy Heinrich and Betty Hill have moved up to Third Place with 24 Points earned to date.

• Bill Boger has currently got Fourth Place with 18 Series Points.

• Sinclair Berdan, Terry Boger, Duane & Harlene Harm and April McCormack are currently tied in Fifth Place with 17 points each.

• Amy Gantt, Thomas Pluemper and Lisa Tyler are in Sixth Place with 14 points each.

• Karbie Barr, Kelsey Spicer and Kris Yon are currently tied for Seventh Place with 13 Series points.

• Rodney Hawk and Eileen Taylor are in Eighth Place with 12 points apiece at this writing.

• Michelle Parish is currently in Ninth Place with 11 Series Points.

• Anne Spicer is in Tenth Place with ten points to date.

• Suess Frazer and Nancy Reynolds have each earned nine points to date.

The next event on the calendar is The Foothills Equestrian Events (FEE) Hunter Pace and Trail Ride, set for Sunday, March 7th, 2010. Following on Sunday, March 21st, is the Green Creek Hounds Spring Hunter Pace and Trail Ride.

We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming events so mark your calendars and plan to also join us as The Tryon Hounds will pick up the pace again after Easter with their spring event on April 11th, followed by the Big Brothers Big Sisters Benefit on May 2nd. The Benefit Hunter Pace & Trail Ride for Steps to HOPE will be held on May 16th and the River Valley Pony Club will round out the competitive Series on May 30th. But don’t forget the Year End Awards Gathering scheduled for June 20th on Biltmore’s West Range for one last fun event before we take a summer break.
