SE Children's Home Benefit - Middle Tyger Ruritans Hunter Pace Held Saturday, September 12, 2009 Reported by Linda Farris Bob and Leslie Scott of Scotsgrove Farm were as gracious as ever by opening their farm for the first Hunter Pace of the 2009-2010 Annual Western Carolina Hunt Pace Series The trails were meant for cantering. It all was wide, meandering trails with good footing and one creek crossing. There were a variety of log jumps and the pond was filled with white and pink lilies. The crew of one, Mr. Ronnie Knight, was pleasant and efficient at registration. To help with parking were Randy Aultry, Rob & Morgan Mercer and Alton Free. Timing was held by Bob Scott and Gwen Phifer, who told riders about red streamers on the left, and candy cane streamers at the halfway point, leading you back to the finish.
